David McDonald is a director and editor from Vancouver. After receiving his degree in film production from Sfu, he has gone on to apply his knowledge of narrative filmmaking to the world of music videos and commercials. He strives to challenge himself with every project, creating work that often includes ambitious concepts, cinematic narratives, and visual effects that enhance the storytelling. His music video for Madchild’s song, “Jitters”, won the Leo Award for ‘best music video’ and was nominated for ‘hip hop video of the year’ at the 2013 MMVA’. He collaborated with the Talbot twins on the doritos commercial, ‘When Pigs Fly,’ which was one of the winning spots in the 2015 ‘rash the Superbowl’ contest, and aired during the superbowl.
